Transmark Subsea has recently delivered WiSub Maelstrom™ pinless connection to an international customer for a BOP-related project kicking off this year in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico. WiSub gap-tolerant, underwater wet-mate connectors support hot-mating and flexible mating alignment tolerances, infinite mate/de-mate cycles and inherent galvanic isolation of equipment. Maelstrom will enable safe and timely disconnection and reconnection of equipment during emergency situations as well as ROV interfacing to the BOP control system.
